Southwest ‘09: part 1 July 11th, 2009 Zion National ParkBeautiful hike through Zion National Park. Chipmunks were jumping from under the feet. Another short hike at sunrise – watching the shadow crawl off the valley. Lick Wash CanyonA canyon carved in Sandstone. Filled with butterflies, lizards, birds (one dead one at the bottom of the canyon) and even petroglyphs. Bryce National ParkA walk among the giants at dusk.
Shenandoah National Park May 30th, 2008 I spent this Memorial Day weekend at Shenandoah National Park. The weather was perfect, and although I didn’t run into any bears this time (I don’t know if its good or bad…) I’ve seen plenty of other wildlife.
